Intraware and DigitalThink Partner to Provide Web-Based IT Training
ORINDA, Calif. and SAN FRANCISCO, May 26, 1999--

PRNewswire/ via NewsEdge Corporation -- Intraware, Inc. (Nasdaq: ITRA), the leading provider of Internet-based services to IT professionals, today announced a strategic partnership with DigitalThink, Inc. to deliver more than 80 web-based technical training courses through Intraware's recently launched IT Training Center.

Intraware's IT Training Center provides a comprehensive range of web-based training courses which include the most sought-after courses currently in demand by IT professionals. Today's partnership expands Intraware's current IT training curriculum which is accessible to Intraware's worldwide membership base, currently consisting of approximately 110,000 members.

DigitalThink's web-based curriculum includes courses on Java and PERL programming, web programming, web publishing and design, object-oriented programming, Microsoft Certification and more. A primary strength of DigitalThink's tutor-supported, web-based training courseware is the use of expert tutors to support self-paced learning anytime, anywhere. The company's unique browser-based online learning environment lets students access their courses from any web connection, whether at home, work or on the road. Students learn through the use of "hands-on" exercises that are graded and reviewed by DigitalThink's expert tutors who respond to all student submissions in less than ten hours, on average.

In addition to accessing Intraware's IT Training Center, DigitalThink users can also take advantage of Intraware's complementary IT services. These include the Intraware IT Knowledge Center, intraware.shop and Intraware SubscribNet services, which enable IT professionals to research, evaluate, purchase, download and maintain updates for business-class software.

"In addition to their use of expert tutors, DigitalThink is a compelling training partner because IT students can access their courseware from any web connection, regardless of what platform they're using," said Nancy Wharton, director of the Intraware IT Training Center. "Because DigitalThink's training is accessible by anyone with a standard web browser, students can log on and learn without having to download courseware files or install new software. In addition, DigitalThink is a Microsoft Certified Technical Education Center, so students can count on getting quality training on the latest Microsoft technologies. With all they have to offer, we expect that this training approach will be extremely popular with our customer base of IT professionals."

DigitalThink identifies the greatest value of the Intraware web-based training as its ability to deliver training on a 24x7 basis while giving students detailed feedback that only a human instructor can provide. By using expert tutors to support self-paced online training, DigitalThink and Intraware are delivering a business model that moves beyond simply using the web to deliver CD-ROM or book-based training, and leverages the communication abilities of the Internet to put personalized attention back into technology training.

"Intraware provides an invaluable complement to DigitalThink's web-based training offering," said Peter Goettner, DigitalThink's president and CEO. "Having our courses included in their IT Training Center will assure DigitalThink a targeted new channel to build our customer base, while at the same time providing Intraware with a valuable new web-based training offering for their customers."

Practical Details
DigitalThink courseware will be available through the Intraware IT Training Center effective immediately. Pricing for courses ranges from $99 - $450, with most courses selling for $325. The courses usually consist of 10-15 hours of self-paced student work and include unlimited access to tutors.
